and ideas by writing a letter(s) to the editor of our local newspapers.

Send your letter by mail to:

* Include a request in your email asking that your letter
be considered for publication in the West Side & Southwest ( Grove City ) editions
of the newspaper.
When: Please submit letters by noon Wednesday to be considered
for the following Monday publication. (Deadlines vary among the publications, but
this covers all)
Your Contact info: Include your full name, phone number & address
with your submission (contact info will not be published but most papers will not
publish a letter without contact info provided).
Length: Keep letters to no more
than 300 words – 250 is even better. Most papers will simply not include longer
letters especially as they receive more & more closer to the election, or they
will edit your letter to cut it down & you have no way of knowing what information/points
they may omit.
Tips:
- Be specific
– include specific examples, numbers, and descriptive
words.
- Be positive
–
do not focus on responding to negative letters unless there
is misinformation that needs to be corrected.
- Be personal – say who you are &
why you believe in what your saying
- Be informed – know the facts
